Worship Academy - 31st May

31st May is the date that has been set for the event in Newcastle that yFriday have set up to aid local worship leaders though training, sharing and practical experience.  Alongside yFriday, Lou Fellingham and Graham Kendrick, will be leading seminars about song writing, vocals and worship leading within the church.

There are three strands through out the day, one focusing on lead vocals from Lou, song writing with Graham and Ken is leading a session on using the acoustic guitar in worship.  The day starts at 9:30 at the Castlegate, Melbourne Street and coming to a close at 16:00.

Newday Gig Confirmation

The New Frontiers youth camp; Newday, has confirmed that yFriday will be playing at this years event for the third time.  The gig is currently schedualled for the 4th August, the third day Newday which runs from the 2nd through to the 7th August.  Alongside yFriday the US band Tree63 and DJ Andy Hunter will be playing.

This is the fifth festival that yFriday will be playing at this year alongside Chesterfest (21-27 July), Big Boss Festival (25th July), Harvest (13-17 August) and Greenbelt (22-25 August).  A busy summer, alongside a several international dates during July set for the guys this year!

Gav & Dez feature on Dave Godfrey album

Dave Godfey, the popular children’s worship leader for 8-11’s, has released his new album entitled ‘Zoom’ with the aid of yFriday’s Dez Minto and Gav Richards.  The album was recorded and produced in Dez’s studios; Broadwater Studio, and features Dez on the drums and Gav on the guitar.

The album contains 16 tracks and can be purchased from Cross Rhythms Direct for £9.97.

IgniteHope

yFriday have been confirmed to play alongside Superhero and the 29th Chapter in a four day Hope ‘08 project in Cardiff over the May bank holiday.  The aim of the event is to provide a Soul in the City type event within Cardiff and the local area working in the community.  Through out the four day period of the event there will also be teaching, worship and gigs from yFriday, Superhero and the 29th Chapter.
