Dave Godfey, the popular children’s worship leader for 8-11’s, has released his new album entitled ‘Zoom’ with the aid of yFriday’s Dez Minto and Gav Richards. The album was recorded and produced in Dez’s studios; Broadwater Studio, and features Dez on the drums and Gav on the guitar.
The album contains 16 tracks and can be purchased from Cross Rhythms Direct for £9.97.
The track ‘Everlasting God,’ taken from the Universal album, co-written by Ken Riley and Brenton Brown, has been nominated to receive the ‘Worship Song of the Year’ in this years Dove Awards hosted in Nashville, USA.
This is the 39th Dove Awards being held on the 23rd April. Previous winning tracks have been ‘Holy is the Lord’ and ‘How Great is Our God’ by Chris Tomlin and ‘Blessed be Your Name’ by Matt Redman.
The track is up against the reworked version of ‘Amazing Grace’ by Chris Tomlin, ‘Everything Glorious’ by David Crowder, ‘How Great Is Our God,’ up for the award again, and ‘Praise You in this Storm’ by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms.
YFriday have just announced on their website that there will be two coach parties heading to Derby on Saturday 27th October to the recording of the live CD/DVD. The two trips will be leaving from Gatehead to make the 200 mile journey to Derby. The cost of this trip will be £15 to cover the cost of the coach hire.
